At Essential Beauty Academy we provide a safe, welcoming and supportive learning environment where young people can develop confidence, gain practical skills and achieve AQA awards.

Learners develop hands-on beauty skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Creative Learning
We embed English and Maths creatively within beauty-based learning, making education fun, relevant and inspiring.
Achievable Qualifications
Learner’s work towards AQA Awards, helping them gain confidence to progress into further education.
Recognised Provision
We are a registered Alternative Provision with Northumberland County Council.

Steph is the Director of Essential Beauty Academy and has many years of experience teaching within schools, colleges and alternative provisions. She has also run her own beauty training academy since 2009, supporting learners to gain valuable skills and confidence.
The inspiration for creating this alternative provision came from her niece, who struggled within a traditional education setting but has a passion for beauty. When asked what she wanted to do in life, she simply said, “What Aunty Steph does.”
This inspired Steph to create a learning environment where young people can build confidence, develop self-esteem and discover a vocation they can excel in.
After a rewarding career travelling the world, setting up salons and training professionals, Steph is now passionate about helping young learners find their path and reach their full potential.
Steph firmly believes that every learner matters and every young person deserves the opportunity to shine.
