We create opportunities for you to train with us and gain sought after qualifications which will make you more employable, or give you the skills and confidence to become self-employed, and we help you to build a future; a bright one with a direction that maybe it lacked before.
Every beauty therapy course taught at the Essential Beauty Training Academy is run by Steph or one of her fully qualified consultants, and she aims to keep standards high and classes small, so that the environment feels as relaxed and informal as possible.

The idea for the social enterprise came from Stephanie Holland, the director of Essential Beauty Academy (North East) Ltd.
Stephanie has over 25 years’ experience in the beauty industry.
The best ideas can often come in times of adversity, and Stephanie is no exception. Her mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2014, and while she took on the role of being her main carer.
Stephanie began working with a local charity, Carers Northumberland. It was while she was working with the charity that the idea to set up the social enterprise, Essential Beauty Academy (North East) was born.
She saw that there was a need to help caregivers; to motivate and support them, and to give them the skills and confidence to get back into employment.
Caring roles naturally come to an end for many and we are here to support you back into employment. Think of it as us taking you by the hand and showing you how to lead the way back into work.
We are a diverse training provider and work with many people who wish to become employable.
The social enterprise has grown significantly since 2016 and we work with a wide range of VCSE sectors within our academy and out in the community.
We know that when adversity affects your life, you can be left feeling vulnerable, lost, and without direction. We are here to change that, improve well-being and reduce isolation.
We believe that nobody should feel lost or alone, with no opportunities to build a fantastic career and future. Our director, Stephanie, delivers exceptional training in a warm, friendly, and supportive environment.
We pride ourselves in making every learner count. We know that there’s passion in everyone, it’s just about finding yours, and bringing it out. And that’s what we do.
